Strenght is the fourth book in the Curse of the Gods series. If you ask me to choose between the four I won't give you an answer. WHy? Because they are all equally hilarious, romantic, sexy and with the right amount of attitude.

Strenght starts off where Seduction ends, with Willa being dead. Well, not dead per se. Someone did kill her but somehow she didn't die. She's still alive and well and still connected to her Abcurses. Now they have to find out why. What exactly is Willa? Why does possess powers that her kind doesn't?

This book is excellent. Every single page left me entertained and giggling like a child.

The book, however, was super important for Willa, because it's where she deepens her relationship with the guys and learns more about herself than in any of the previous books.

She does all of this, whilst maintaining her personality and embarrassing herself every two seconds. She also gets naked, she loves to get naked. And she makes dicks appear in people's foreheads (Yup, she really did that.)... And she makes lame jokes and makes fun of Gods. She also pisses Gods off.

Willa is a special girl that I thank the authors for creating because she's just a breath of fresh air from all the heavy books out there. I love her.

I’d been called special before, but usually the tone indicated that my kind of special was a physical hazard to others. Yael and Leden weren’t talking about that kind of special, though. Their words made my heart a little light and my knees a little weak.

The plot flowed seamlessly even though most of the action was left to the end, sadly. But we did get more sexy scenes! With all the guys! We can see that the bond they all share is truly indestructible, which is something admirable in this series.

“You have more power against us than any other being in the worlds. It’s almost scary the things we would do for you, Willa.”

We also get to meet some new characters like the Abcurse's Mother. YES! She's so sweet. I loved her character. And watch as the Neutral God and Emmy finally develop a "relationship"... I was super excited about that too. A lot of our answers are left unanswered in Strenght, but I trust the authors to deliver them in the last book.

I cannot believe the next book will be the end! But if you're just starting, give this series a chance! They are truly one of a kind.

Review:

Wild Pride by Kristen Banet is the first book in The Kingson Pride series. It’s a Reverse Harem book that is not only very sexy, but it’s very hard to ignore as well. It’s a story told from several POV’s, Riley’s and the boys as well which gives us the change to get to know all the characters very very well. It has danger and romance and I absolutely loved it!

They could do this. They could protect her. They would protect her.

It gives us the story of Riley Stern, a runaway, that stumbles into Wild Junction after escaping from an abusive boyfriend making a new life for herself there. All seems well, until she meets five of the most eligible men the town has to offer. They’re powerful, beautiful and very dangerous and soon they find themselves chasing after her. Not only to have her for themselves but to join their family as well.

Usually in Reverse Harem stories the men tend to look alike. In here they all have different personalities that complement each other. Andrew (Sweet – 3^rd in command), Troy and Gabe ( 4^th and 5^th in command and brothers that like to share and cuddle), Brenton ( Alpha and dominant), Zachary (2^nd in command and tall, dark and handsome). Zachary is my BAE!! I liked them all asides from Andrew, which I’m still trying to understand. The author did a wonderful job creating these guys and giving them life.

“We can kidnap her, throw her on the jet. Andrew, Troy, and Gabe never need to know.”

“Yeah, I like that idea, Screw sharing.”

“Who said I was letting you get on my plane, asshole?” Brenton growled.

“I thought we were friends,” Zachary moaned. “Don’t do that to me.”

Riley was a girl (also shifter) that took some time getting used to. She was a bit whiney at the beginning. As soon as the book picked up she became much more of a badass and I found myself liking her A LOT! Her relationship with the boys was very slowly built and it started with a steady friendship and slowly became much more intense. I liked that they didn't just jump into a relationship with them and instead focused in her transition into a shifter and her learning what it takes to survive in their world.

I can't wait for the next book, Especially since this one ended in a semi-cliffhanger! I really liked this author's way of writting, it's very fast paced and straight to the point! I loved it.

Review:

This is the prefect book for valentine’s day… Which is tomorrow by the way. *sighs* Wild Hearts is the second book in the Lines in the Sand series. It can however be read as a standalone. It features a relatable story that is both exciting, cute and funny about two people – Jodie and Levi – falling in love.

We fit. We just fit together. And that fit could mean a whole hell of a lot of fun.

It’s a book that everyone is going to relate to at some point. Two individuals thinking that relationships are overrated make a deal to be together without any strings attached. Then they slowly start to fall in love with each other.

The book portrays all the stages of love beautifully and in a simple manner, which I adored. They, however took an awful long time to admit they loved each other. I’m an impatient person, so I was like: JUST DO IT ALREADY. SAY THE L (Like or Love Accepted, just admit to something) WORD. The story itself is not very remarkable, but it has a special something in it, with plenty of funny moments that left me grinning like a love-struck fool the whole time. They can be little predictable however, but not in a bad way.

Let’s talk about cowboys being sexy… They ooze sexiness. If you like cowboys, Wild Hearts has the perfect one for you. Levi is a former saddle bronc rider that I found super charming. Let’s just say his cowboy boots won me over. And the tipping of the hat… *swoons*… I liked that he had flaws and wasn't perfect the whole time. It made him real and much more likeable. *sighs for the billionth time*

The female lead – Jodie – was a little hard for me to like. I enjoyed her spunk and her confidence but I found her complaining too much… She complained abut her new roommate, about Levi and everything else. I was like: CHILL OUT. She calmed down towards the end and she eventually grew on me.

To those who read the previous book, you have the continuation of Avery's and Jesse's story with tons of surprises in the middle. Which i'll definitly be reading next, because they were just adorable and cute.

To sum things up, Wild Hearts is an easy to read Romance with a romance that deepens and grows with the book, fantastic secondary characters and a very sexy cowboy.

Review:

Good Girl Gone Badd, can I just start by saying that this title is the best thing ever? Because it is, and the cover is to die for as well. After seeing these things and reading the synopsis, I was like: GIMMIE! Besides, Baxter always was the brother that caught my eye the fastest.

So far this was the book that I liked the best. It has the non-typical story of the rich girl falling for the rugged man. The story starts off quite interesting, with the good girl escaping from her father and ending up in Alaska. Then immediately she goes to a fighting arena where she sees Baxter fighting and winning. Then she decides to walk home and four guys try to take advantage of her, that’s when Baxter shows up and the real fun begins…

I imagined Evangeline as this prissy girl, but she turned out quite the contrary. She’s a little minx. Of course, she’s still all proper and polite but that quickly changes once Baxter opens her eyes. I liked seeing the transition from that stuck up girl to an adventurer and confident woman. The one thing I didn’t appreciate? She talked too much during the sexy scenes… that’s it.

Baxter Badd. The name alone is sexy as hell. I loved getting to know him and he is by far my favorite brother of the bunch. We got a lot from this guy and he proved us that he isn’t just some football player that screws anything with legs on. No, he’s caring and he tries to help Evangeline whenever he can. Pushing her limits. Flirting with her. He's a big teddy bear!

I loved the dynamic between these two. When you're picking a book from the Badd series you know you’re going to get plenty of sexy scenes, which this book had a ton of. Super sexy and steamy.

The book itself was fun, cute, fast and sweet. And super-Hot as well! Totally recommend if you’re looking for a book that’s going to make you laugh and give you all kinds of butterflies.

Review:

Love, Life and the List is a book about self-discovery and transformation. It’s a cute book that’s going to steal your breath away and warm your heart. The story is funny, quirky, charming and all kinds of romantic, perfect if you’re looking for a warm summer read in this cold days.

I freed my mouth and laughed, even though the “just friends” part was not by choice. I had, in fact, professed my love to Cooper Wells exactly one year ago that very month. It had been more than obvious by his reaction that the feelings were not reciprocated. So I had to play it off like some joke. Some joke he had been more than willing to go along with. And I let him, because I didn’t want to lose him as a friend. He was the best friend in the world.

Abby was a pleasant surprise as a protagonist. I liked her sarcasm and how she was quick on her feet when she needed to give a smartass answer or even a funny one. I laughed a lot thanks to her. I also though it was well built her relationship with her grandfather. They bickered the whole book, but you could feel the love. I liked how her art was described and the whole creative process she went through, and it was a learning experience for me seeing her overcome her fears because of that list. I might just make one for myself because it really helped her and her art.

Cooper was a big teddy bear, I admit. He was introduced as this playful guy with a constant smile on his face, that was clueless about how Abby felt about him. NOT. He was a little snake in a hot guy’s body. Because he played with Abby’s feelings the whole book. But he manages to redeem himself in the end and I forgave him, but just because he’s cute and he cried.

And as the illegal sky rockets lit up the sky with their loud bangs of color, I noticed Cooper looking at me. He averted his gaze. Maybe things could change.

The couple itself was super cute. They were best friends up until the last ten pages of the book and I should totally be mad at that. But I’m not. It worked. We got to know them as friends first and see how they interact with each other and THEN we saw them as a couple. But I must admit, for a couple of seconds I was afraid they weren’t going to make it. But they did, and they have a happy ending. Don’t worry people!

The only thing I expected more out of this book is the secondary characters. Even though the main story is not about them, the secondary characters make or break a book. I have to highlight her Grandfather though, because he was a terrific character. I felt like I read about people that were supposed to be important but only showed up for two pages at the end. Cooper’s parents also didn’t really like Abby and it was explained why, but it didn’t convince me at all because that specific subject was almost never addressed or dealt with. It was brushed under the carpet. I would also have liked to read more about Abby’s dad and even her mom and Elliot. All of this, in my opinion could have been addressed with more detail because it’s important things that matter to the protagonists but are missing.

But overall, it was a simple yet sweet book that takes you back to your first crush and your first heartbreak. It’s cute and quirky and oh so adorable. The characters are well written and well thought out. Kasie West wrote a delightful book.

Lilith is a whore. She has accepted that for a long time now. She's the highest paid prostitute in New Orleans. She’s beautiful and talented and she caught the eye of two men that will do anything to have her. Mob boss Nico Santelli and community center owner Soti Christos have not given up on Lilith. Each has his own very specific, very opposing, plans for her, and neither will rest until it becomes a reality.

I could re-read this book two or three more times and I’d still be in awe. I am completely and utterly amazed at how good this story is. The book itself is set in New Orleans, wonderful city, and the story is really well written. Willow Aster wrote a masterpiece right here.

“I know we don’t know each other well, but … we’ve covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. It feels like our souls are old friends. My heart recognizes yours.” He leans his forehead on mine.

The story is fast paced, and it has just enough things happening that makes sure we are never bored. It combines romance, betrayals, obsession and passion in one wonderful book.

The characters and how they were written was exceptional. All of them had their strong motivations and different personalities. I liked very single one. Even the Bad guys. Especially the bad guys. And with them I laughed, cried and felt like slapping them as well.

Lili is the leading lady here. Since young she was forced by her mother to work as a prostitute and now she just accepted her life. I really connected with her. Everyone thinks she’s just a girl, but she is such a strong character. She started this book with a broken heart and because of that she doesn’t believe a man could love her for herself, so I really liked that throughout the book and as she fell in love, we could see that changing. She grew so much throughout the story and became tougher and stronger and much surer of herself. I absolutely Loved her.

“I love you,” he whispers again.

“How can you love someone who will never be whole?” I choke out.

Soti Christos was her knight in shinning armor. Usually I am not drawn to characters that are too understanding and passive. But Soti was something else. Without him, Lili would never have made it out of that world. He was super supportive but still ready to kick some ass if anyone dared to mess with his Lili. Their connection as well was out of this world. I wasn’t simply a sexual connection but something much profound. He’s book boyfriend material for sure.

To the bad guys in this book I must say that you were brilliant. All of them. Lili’s mother and Nico were perfect villains. Both made me want to throw them against the wall and slap some sense into them. And they made the story more intense. I could never tell what they were going to do next so i was always on the edge of my seat.

To wrap things up, if you haven’t picked up this book, DO IT NOW. It’s not only amazing with the author’s excellent world building but it’s really romantic and so tragic. I loved every page.

Review:

My last review was of Scandalous. And it told us the story of Trent, which I loved. But within that story we got to meet Vicious and I just knew I had to read the book dedicated to him and Emilia. So, here I stand just minutes after putting the book down and how to I feel, you ask? I feel like I just read the most amazing, ruthless book ever. Why? Because I’m still smiling like a complete idiot after the last chapter and I’m in desperate need for more books related to these two. Don’t get me wrong the ending was just perfect and sweet (well, as sweet as Vicious can get) but, I want more. No. I NEED more.

“My obsession. My muse. My enemy. “All”

This book tells us the story of the ruthless Vicious and the starving artist named Emilia. It starts with telling us a bit of how they met and moves on from there. So, Emilia was the daughter of Vicious housekeepers and because he though she knew a secret of his, he made her life hell. From there on, he starts to fall in love with her and then ends up sending her away. Now, ten years later they meet. And neither has forgotten their feeling for the other. And let’s thank the gods for it!

Vicious was so bittersweet for me. One moment something happens were you just want to punch him and the other you want to love him because he’s just misunderstood. But his character is so well written. I really sympathized with him even though he’s a jerk most of the times. And when you get to find out his life story you’ll see exactly why he does things to push people away. He's a merciless jerk with a heart of gold.

"I loved her when I hated her."

I was expecting Emilie to quickly become a cliché character that just accepted Vicious bullshit and forgave him for everything. But no! This girl stood her ground and defended herself when she felt the need to. And told him to fuck off if needed be. I loved her. I haven’t liked a female character that much in quite a while.

"Her indifference to my power somewhat disarmed me. Most people felt helpless around me. Emilia Leblanc never had."

The book is the perfect combination of a Love and Hate. It draws you in with its flawed characters that keep on making stupid mistakes every step of the way but at the end want nothing more than be with each other. The story itself is so addicting and has none of the usual clichés. The writing is so entertaining, funny and straight to the point. It has L. J. Shen written all over it. And she is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers! If I had to spot a flaw it would be that it's too short. That's it.

You know when you read a good romance/action book and when it ends you just want to curl up in a ball and hibernate until the next book comes out? Now imagine that situation but with a standalone book… I DON’T HAVE A SECOND BOOK AND I WANT ONE NOW BECAUSE THIS WAS FUCKING PERFECT.

I stared at someone I didn’t know. I went to bed with him. I spent time with him. I ran with him. I laughed with him. I felt with him. I became alive with him. And God, staring at him now, all I wanted to do was throw myself in his arms again. Fuck everything else.

COLE MAURICIO…. TALL, DARK AND HANDSOME? Yes please, I’d like one of that ASAP! I may even go as far as saying he is my favorite book boyfriend of the year. He’s charming, dangerous and hot as hell… And he has that casual smirk and chiseled abs that we can only dream of. In this story he is the Mafia Boss and he’s a character that had to deal with the loss of his entire family, which is super sad, but when he is in his Boss mode he’s a kickass character. He oozes power and sex. And I think I might be in love… JK.

He drew a deep breath, his eyes growing soft. “I’m going to do everything you want me to do. I won’t do anything you don’t want me to. If you want me to hold you, I’ll never let you go. If you want me to kiss you all night long, you’ll have to buy me chapstick in the morning. Anything you want, I’ll do.” He carried me to the bed and laid me down. His arms never let me go. He bent over me, my arms and legs still wrapped around him. His forehead rested against mine, so softly, matching his voice, “Except leave. That’s the only thing I won’t do.” His eyes searched my face, studying every detail.

“I’m going to help you become Addison once more. Just you. Just me. No one else.” And then, as his mouth touched mine, gently, tenderly, he did as he’d promised.

Cole was in the mafia. The motherfucking mafia.

Addison Bowman was also my favorite character to get to know. She recently suffered the death of her husband so she’s still coping to a life without him, and then she decides to move in into one of the most exclusive buildings of the city to try and move on. Then she meets Cole and its passion at first sight. I really liked her from the beginning, she’s so relatable and it’s good to see her overcome her pain and fall in love one more time.

The main characters come with their best-friends. Addison has a socialite as hers. And Cole has a killer as his. And they are both intense as HELL. And funny too. Even the killer.

When it comes to the mafia part of the book, it has so much fucking action and gunshots and drama, I can’t get over it! It’s awesome and it’s impossible you’re ever bored reading this. And the romance scenes are so intense. Addison and Cole really did have a connection and Tijan explored that to the max. I loved it.
