Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention
Then Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won't get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don't count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. But what Lissa never sees coming is her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling...
All i can say is that this book is delicious. We have wars, between boys and girls and between they're libidos.
Lissa has a boyfriend named Randy (the quarterback of the football team) and they are always being interrupted by some idiot of the opponent team, the soccer team. And it can't go on, she wants some alone time without being worried if the car she's on will be egged all over again... So she came up with the great idea to screw the boys, or not, by joining they're girlfriends in a fierce group and making them promise to go on strike, a sex, strike. Oh Boy they are in it for the kill as they will fight with they're weapons as well, and believe me boys can be deceiving and taunting but the girl are strong. So who will win the sex war?
The battle........ is on.
Our dear cover is amazing, the girl is beautiful and the look in her eyes is determined, which has everything to do with our Lissa, she's a great character, neither we could expect less from Kody as she always gives us the example of an awesome leading girl. She is an easy person that every girl can relate too, she's simple and leads with normal day to day problems. She has no female figure in her life, only her dad and brother who seem to like her current boyfriend quite too much, her dad faces a will-chair and her brother is suddenly dating a not so mystery girl. But do they know who Randy really is to they're baby girl? No. Nobody knows.
Randy is a manipulative, deceiving guy who i would love to crush under my hand. By school standards he is the resident God and she should be very lucky to date him. I think he loves her but is too stupid to do something about it and that will eventually take a tool on they're relationship.
Then we have Cash who is everything you may want, but isn't it always like that? I mean, it always has to have the bad and the good boy. And Cash is the very good, very hot, very prohibited guy, after all he is the leader of the opponent team. Will that be a good or a bad thing? Only time will tell i mean he already stood her up once which can only mean he is not interested.... well one thing they have in common they are both teases....
Continuing... All of the girls the "girlfriends" help make the story even more likable and just fun, they stop just tolerating each other to creating a bond and an awesome friendship in which they got each others backs. We also get and inside on the boys minds, they aren't as basic as we think they can actually think and formulate accurate plans to get to they're final reward. Just kidding. You can see that some of them due to this strike really thought trough the relationship they were in and considered something more serious or if it was just not worthy.
The book is so fun and The girls rule. The story is light and easy to get into and is really and awesome read :D
