This is the first book I've read from the White Trash Zombie series because I only found out about them but didn't felt like starting from the first one.(yeah, i'm lazy) But even though I didn't read the previous books it's so easy to catch on to the story anyway and after a while I felt like it didn't matter if I didn't knew somebody or something.

Zombies and more Zombies, my kind of book. I loved this concept for Zombies because it's so unique but still entirely gross.  Braiinnnnss!! This zombies are like normal people if they don't miss their brains meal of the day, they walk normal, they talk normal and they get jobs just like normal people. But, if they miss their brains then the action starts to go down south and the real animal instincts kick in.

Angel Crawford (Love the name) is just an ordinary zombie trying to get on with her life but when a zombie movies starts filming in town and fake zombies turn into real ones her whole town may be in danger and angel just may be the only one capable of saving them all.

Let me find you in a dark alley, you worthless asstard. We'll see who’s smirking then.

Angel is so my type of gal! She's a tough zombie that has a personality the size of Grand Canyon, she swears like a sailor, she fights like a badass but has the face of an Angel. Interesting. I loved her from the start and even the fact that I just knew her in this book made no difference because her awesomeness stuck to me like glue. It's impossible not to like a spirited, strong, confident, funny as hell, sure of herself woman like in here and even the fact that she has a troubled past that she tried to put behind her and struggled to get rid of her druggie label, made her even more interesting. And the whole working on the morgue to snag brains is just pure smartness!

No self-respecting zombie would be caught dead smoking. Caught dead. I snorted.

Marcus I did not yet had time to connect with but what I have seen of him this far i liked a lot. He seems very into Angel and willing to accept her commitment issues as well. I think they make a great couple and that they are on the right track for it!

Angel's dad is soo much better at socializing and much more willing to turn his past around as well and we can see him trying to make an effort to improve himself and help his daughter.

I loved the story in this book with the "zombie movie" being filmed while the fake zombies turned into real ones. Awesome! The plot was great and so easy to like and get into. There were loads of fightings between good guys and bad guys, Angel being in every single one of them... This book is so full of action and so much fun!

Diana Rowland really delivered a book worth reading and rereading time and time again because you never get sick of it. She gave us a world of mindless zombies who survive on nothing more than brains but manage to keep civilized. It's unique and very special. I Loved this book and will continue to follow this series!

I was expecting this book for so long and when it finally came i was beyond excited. I Loved the whole dystopian concept and the brands of the seven deadly sins were a nice touch to it.

It had everything to make this book great. But the only characters I seemed to like were Sutton, Alyssa and Zeus (the dog, which was awesome and totally charismatic, with an awesome personality! And when he went missing I felt like throwing the book out the window. )

I'm sorry but this book was no good for me so I couldn't get into it. By the end I was avoiding most of the words and actions, about halfway i got sick over reading about people throwing up (which happened about all the time) or about other bodily functions that were described minimalistically... The characters felt old with nothing exciting to offer and their personalities got me bored and laughing because it was funny about how unreal they were...

If i am reading a book about a hell-hole where you have to fight to survive I don't want a nice guard, a quiet girl with passion for art  that needs compliments all the time  and definitely didn't liked that everyone else in the hole knew about her and yet she couldn't know about anyone else because it was top secret. Are you serious? And what's with the Rocky session in the middle of this?

Lexi is a character that I have seen so many times before. I could not like her one bit. Yes she had a story and it added some dimension to her personality so we could understand her better but then with all the love in the air she lost it all.  What I did not liked for sure was the need people had of constantly calling her beautiful and that she is the best body coming into that part of town, it's annoying hearing it when you are trying to focus on the bigger picture. Lexis did not had any fire within her. No goals. No need to prove herself not guilty. No determination. No strenght. No backbone. Nothing. She was a empty character for me.

Cole. He's hot, but in a place where gunshots seem to appear out of nowhere I do not need to hear about how good his butt looks in his jeans. Kay? Also, seriously he knows that he could get killed for getting it on with a sinner but he calls her babe? The only moments I liked him were in the beginning because there he was what was expected of someone that is marked by that war, there he was real. Then he was just a personage nothing more.  Lexi and Cole as a couple took away what the story had best. It was like a jordin Sparks book gone wrong. And very exaggerated.

Keegan was a dick. What was wrong about his sister dating Cole and in what world was it any of his business? After all he did left her with her evil stepfather, right? I don't understand. Also his focus on battle, and on training was all too pretty but he overreacted on so many occasions. And because he threatened Zeus I vowed to hate him forever. Just saying...

But the good thing I loved were the scenarios they created and how good they were described. You could feel the tension in the air, the fear of the people, the sadness. All those emotions before giving up completely were awesomely brought to life by words.  The style of writing was amazing and the story over the top! And if the characters would have focused more into themselves and less into the love action it would have been great.


To wrap this review i have to say that the general idea is fantastic but the characters need something more. I liked reading Branded  , it wasn't the best book ever but the next one hopefully will be much better! :)

 
The Distance Between us is awesomely Sweet, dead Funny, very Sarcastic, Real and very, very Addicting! I could not put this book down one second... It's THAT good :)

Caymen lives above the Doll store that she and her mom own in a tiny two bedroom apartment that may be small but means the world to her. She's good with being poor, she doesn't need fancy things to be happy and knows that the best things in life you have to work hard to get.

I loved Caymen and most important her sarcasm had me laughing the entire book nonstop. Seriously she can come up with the most out of place answers you have ever seen without even trying... This girl was spectacular, she was funny most of the times but she was also a lot more serious than a seventeen year old should be due to the pressure of handling the business so it doesn't have to close and helping her mother  not to go bankrupt.

"Note to self: Caymen is very good at sarcasm. "

"If you're recording notes for an official record, I'd like the word very stricken and replaced with exceptionally."

Xander is rich, cocky and takes it all for granted. His clothes, his fast car.... His family is one of the richest in the country and sometimes that comes with a price.  In storms Xander into an old store filled with creepy dolls looking to find a present for his grandma and the last thing he expected was the girl behind register that could bring a smile into his face very easily. And for a young man who has the world's weight on his shoulders with the family business that is a very hard thing to manage.

Xander is sweet. But sometimes a little on the clueless side of life. He is the usual "my family expects big things out of me and I don't know if that is what I really want" guy but with a certain twist, let's just say he is having anxiety problems about the future. But he was charming as well, funny and even a little on the dorky side sometimes. And he has excellent taste in cars (Just saying)...

When they realize that they can't get eachother off their heads Xanders decides to take the first step and go to the store and see that exquisite girl again. Then  after loads of previously-sipped-hot-chocolate, rides to the school and getting to know one another better they know that have one thing in common. Uncertainty about the future, a fear of what expected them and what their dream will be. Together they will try and figure that out  for eachother with a "career day" which consisted in trying out various careers and finding out what they like best. But this is also going to bring a proximity that Caymen is not comfortable with. After all, he is one of them...

"I love you," I whisper. 

"What was that? I didn't hear you. 

"Don't push me. "

"I love you, too" he says. He puts his cheek against mine. "So much."

These two together made the book into something adorable. They are complete opposites but are united in their uncertainty and the pressure their parents offer. So when they  and this two worlds get together is like a clash and they realize it's not going to be that easy. But I liked that both of them were one of the only ones that were stuck on not forgetting their social classes because everyone else seemed to accept it just fine. Asides Caymen's mother... Caymen worried too much that she was only a toy for him and he did not realised that and other signals until she threw it into his face and sometimes kind of forced her into his way of living, not realising she would not fit in with a bunch of spoiled rotten kids...

Then after a few bumps in the road here comes Mason, the local bad boy who had a eye from the start for Caymen... I did not liked Mason's involvement, he was too wrong for her. The one thing they had in common was the money status and even the fact the he was in a band did not do good things for my liking.

When Caymen and Xander solved the money problems between them and put it aside, their relationship could finally turn into something much more serious. But when her mom finds out and old suspicions come to the top it's difficult to continue. Besides that there is a sudden illness to her mother that brings another secret to life.

Caymen's mother was rather unfair for the whole book. Yes, she was left behind by a filthy rich guy that run with his tail between his legs that second he found out about a daughter, but that does not mean her daughter is her or that she is going down the same path. I think she does not give the deserved value to Caymen by often hiding things from her, even her father's whereabouts and not wanting any contact between them at all. Also, hiding debt collectors and even her grandparents is a little over the top!

"Feelings, my dear daughter, you will perhaps learn one day, can be the most costly thing in the universe. "

And that's the kind of attitude that is going to be the financial ruin of the store.

And then there is the oh so deserved happy ending... But i will not get there until the two of the most important character are mentioned: Henry and Skye, Thank you so much for your support and without you I think Caymen would not have stayed strong throughout all this drama. Also thanks to Caymen's grandparent for finally gaining courage to meet their granddaughter and support her :)

In the world of science, if Skye were a host, I would be her parasite. She has a life. I pretend it's mine.

NOW it's the real happy ending.. So prejudice aside everyone's happy. Including me... <3

Vegas, baby! Now we know what a long night of drinking and being reckless can do to people. But in this case it kind of worked out for the best! I mean it's not everyday you wake up married to a rock start with trust issues and that is willing to give your "one-day relationship" a go. Hell, yeah!

Continuing.... I was so excited about this book the second i heard it's story! It does combine the best of both worlds, an edgy rock star with a safe girl. Evelyn and David sure are different but those differences made the book so much more interesting and heartfelt.

Evelyn is literally my kind of gal. I liked her mainly because i can relate with her personality but also because this girl can stand her ground against the world and tell them to go stick it where the sun doesn't shine without giving a shit about what they think But I think that half of the time she doesn't know of her strength, because she starts off with a low self-esteem and very retracted but then when Ev meets David there is this discovery of herself and she starts to value her body and soul more. She finds braveness inside of her and finally lets it come out more often. You can clearly see an evolution to a strong, determined women by the end of the book and that is often very hard to describe  but Kylie Scott managed to do it easily.

I wasn't even certain I knew how to make fuck-me eyes. But I definitely hadn't been making them at that tool downstairs. No wonder so many marriages ended in divorce. Marriage sucked and husbands were the worst.

David is awesome and he plays guitar. But that's what he is sick of people seeing because they only focus on the money part and how successful he is. Nobody really wants him for himself. This is sad at the beginning so when he meets Evelyn and they decide to give their relationship a go I was so happy for him. His personality after having his heart broken once is numb to the world, the his music and worse to himself. But then we can really see the real David and that carefree, young, fun, caring man is what really straps you to the book, because you can see a transformation as well and it's amazing. I loved him, loved that he portrayed the Rockstar life so well but seemed to know exactly when to put brakes on things. But i am not saying he is perfect, far from it because he is a major jackass at the start... But in the end he was awesome...


This couple pushed each other to the limits and that's why they work so well. They take each other's shit but in the end they are there for support!

I like you the way you are, blurting out whatever shit crosses your mind. Not trying to play me, or use me. You're just being with me. I like you.

The band members were dicks... But okay. Except for Mal, I loved Mal. The only guy in the band (aside David) who is funny and NICE! And maybe Sam as well. The rest i did not like! Jimmy you are an Asshole! and the other guy whose-name-I-have-forgotten-because-he-was-a-dick was as well. Oh and Martha? Go to hell!

Lick was awesome, entertaining and just hot, hot, hot! I Think this series have so much more to give and I am so looking forward to the next installment in the Stage Dive series :).

I Must say that stories about princesses and kingdoms are not my thing because they are too melodramatic but this book had a good synopsis and I decided to give it a try. Needless to say it blew me away. Loved it and Raz and layla are my new it-couple and I want more!

"Walking into the lion's den unprotected, Princess?"

During twenty three long years Layla was put through her father's manipulative ways along with her baby sister which she tried to protect at all costs even if it meant she would get the consequences. That life led her to escape to books and knowledge turning her into a very pragmatic girl with no real life experience of her own. Now with her father's death she is threatened to marry a power hungry man so she must escape to find the hero everyone whispers about, the saviour everyone's hopes will take the throne and hopefully her protector. And when she finds him she has a propose that he cannot refuse, for he wants the throne she offers and she wants the safety he can give her.

This marriage was supposed to be a "political arrangement" between a princess and a hero which was about right for the first hour they met. Then there was this burst of energy between them and they were lost to each other. These two were Awesome together mainly because they started off quite hostile towards one another it created an even bigger interest to see the evolution of the relationship. And you could see and feel the confidence growing, the complicity between them as well, the sexual tension was off the roof and feel the love emanating from two different people who thought love was forbidden to them. You can see from the start that they will not be normal character, they are special and perfect for eachother.

Raz is a dick at first! I Admit it... But who can resist a "dark-haired hero, with a fit body and an alluring personality"? No one. He is kind and thoughtful towards everyone else but still manages to stand his position amongst the toughest of men. He is definitely one of the Best Alpha Males I've read about! Oh, and he had a daughter and their relationship is sooo cute?

Layla is a bookworm but she will learn that the deepest of knowledge do not comes from books but by living life to the fullest. At first I thought she would be one of those bland characters with nothing interesting to add to the story but I was wrong, Her determination to protect her sister, Her braveness, her kindness and inexperience were something that helped build a strong woman like her and give the plot all it's interest. I Loved her from head to toe, her personality, the way she handled things (always very rational), the way she faced her fears like it was nobody's business....

You might think this book was all Romance related but that is wrong. It has action with car chases, gun fightings, dogs attacking, and Evil people who will do anything to destroy happiness when they see it. And let's say that the bad guy in here is pretty obvious but who cares when there is Raz and Layla in the picture?



Sarah Morgan blew me away with this story. It had all the romance it needed without overwhelming it joined to some serious action in the desert. Add the awesome dogs and amazing horses with some really hot scenes between this couple in the hot desert and this book will be a success! The plot, the story and everything else was just spot on!

Was that really the ending? Because it seemed that the book was unfinished rather than it being the end. Really? No book can end like that, not in the middle of a battle, not in the middle of some very important actions, it's not fair for us readers. Now we have to wait another year to know something that should have been revealed in A Kiss of Blood. 

But aside the ending, this book was espetacular to say the least. It had all the gore, evilness and madness of the evil vampires we all love without letting them seem too traditional. It's like the old vampire story with a new twist to it. Fantastic. Emoras, I have said it before and i will say it again, that this is an amazing concept for vampires to feed on pain, pleasure and even joy. Then to the world of vampires you add rippers, werewolves and fairies, a kick ass girl with a heart of fire and you have this book.

In A Kiss of Blood (Which was supposed to be the final if it wasn't for the rushed ending) Quinn, being in the human Washington D.C, has one condition: Never go back to the world of vampires.  But it isn't easy to be normal when the friend you though normal is an undercover vampire, the guy that stole your heart and soul is just across the hall and to worsen things your Brother is suffering from magic sickness. Poor Quinn. Then she has to go back to V.C to save her brother and make a choice that is never too easy.  Use her power to destroy or heal that world.

I Loved Quinn in the first book and now i love her even more. She is determined and though with a stubbornness to her character that it's nothing but addicting. Quinn is like a mini Buffy on steroids, she being way better with stakes on her jacket and weapons all over her. In this part of the story she will tap into her powers and discover a strength she knew not she possessed. It's like an awakening for her. But it will bring so much dimension to her character, because in a way she is more human than ever. The readers can feel her pain, her love, her struggle to not let people in and the forgiveness she allows Arturo . One of the best characters I have ever read.

But the closer she let him get, the more likely she was to trust him again. And that was something she refused to do

Oh the steamy scenes between Arturo and Quinn..... Uh la la. They start pretty reluctant with each other, because Arturo was a mean liar in the previous book, but with time and perseverance Arturo finally will manage to gain her trust back (To break it again, but who cares?). They are so cute together and very dependent on each other. Arturo requires her sunshine, her warmth  and Quinn needs his love. Arturo is still the mean vampire boss everyone calls The Snake, how cool is that name? But he is so much more attentive and caring it's endearing to look at.

His shoulders sank, his forehead tipping against hers. “Mio dio. You've changed me, cara. I cannot decide if I should thank you or hate you for it.” 

And if there was one thing she knew, it was that Arturo played fast and loose with the truth. He was a first-class manipulator. But he'd also become her protector and, in a strange sort of way, her friend. And her lover.

There were so many new people in here, like Neo their helper and saviour, Micah which I completely loved and want to see much more mainly because he is a pleasure feeder and that led to some interesting scenes... Kassius which is half werewolf and half vampire and probably one of the sweetest vampires ever, the fairies and their obsession with So You Think You Can Dance and C.S.I, I want to see Jason finding his wife and Lily finally managing to be with Max... These are my wishes for the next book.

A Kiss of Blood was much better than A Blood Seduction minus the ending. The characters are amazing, the story is unbelievable and the plot deserves an award for twists and turns. Love Love Love the way Pamela writes and locks you with the story in a away you cannot leave. Ever. V.P Team!!!
