Book Review...

From the author of Truly, Madly, Deadly and after liking that book so bad i was expecting something better than this. See Jane Run is definitely a book to help you pass the time but asides from that it's nothing special... The characters are bland and all alike, the scenes seem too cliché and the story could use a bit more development. Come on Hannah, you can do so much better!

This book has an amazing secret that should be deepened! But instead of the story being about the secret, exploring it and wow us with it... No, it was just about Riley's ability to whine about everything... It was like a face slap that this book did not deserve. 

Riley (Jane) is the one playing Sherlock Holmes through the entire book, including going to a different city by herself to ask questions about a birth certificate she found in her parents room instead of going straight to the parents... Not realizing she was being followed even though the same guy kept appearing near her city after city... Jumping to the conclusion that the birth certificate meant that she was kidnapped. Yap, i would just like to say: Quit that job Riley. You're no good at it!!! All the work she had to do because she thought that her parents would not like her asking questions was wasted and she was dumb because she basically put everyone in danger and in the end the ones telling her the secret were her parents... So it was all for nothing. YAY, not.

The Parents need to have a lesson on: How to never leave things out in the open when you have a teenager in the house!!! Guess what? If you didn't want her to know then you should have hidden it better and not judge Riley's curiosity. Just saying. 

   He was a liar.

They were all liars.

And now they were forcing her to be one

 

"The help" is the guy that will try to put some romance in this but did just the opposite. I could not stand him and his story as well. It was too big a coincidence for everything to happen and for him to be put in the middle. And what was Shelby for? To put ideas in Riley's mind? Because that was all she did, and bad ideas on top of everything. I really wanted some easy going barely-there romance and a friend that could support and even fight a little bit....





This book was a definite letdown. The story had some badass ideas that could have been turned into something spectacular if the whole story didn't revolve around Riley and her rebel attitudes. I was waiting for so much more and i won't give up until i find it...
