Estella Markson is a good girl. She studies hard, stays out of trouble, and is struggling to hold together her family that is falling apart because of her alcoholic father.

Vincent Madden is the guy your mother warned you to stay away from. He doesn’t follow the rules, is in a notorious motorcycle gang, and doesn’t care if he breaks the law or someone’s bones.

After a chance encounter, Vincent starts to take an interest in the innocent girl who is so different to him. Despite Vincent’s infamous reputation, Estella is also intrigued by him. There is something about this bad boy that gives her an escape from her world of problems, and she can’t stay away.

Even as they struggle with the problems in their lives, Vincent and Estella soon find that trying to forget is easier with someone by your side.

BOOK REVIEW:

I just started 2014 with a literary BANG! Wrong Side of Town is the most exciting book i've read in a  while and it got me jumping and giggling like a crazy girl... It's that good. The story is amazing, the characters are flawed but easy to understand what drives them and motivates them and the cover is magnificent... Komal Kant is on my top list!

This is Hard and Nasty. The book focus on a pretty girl Stella that appears to be the perfect good girl example... But she hides a secret that broke her, that enabled her of loving. You can see what the secret is from the beginning but Komal wrote this story and mislead us to who was the cause of it. You'll see. And then we have Vincent Madden of the Madden gang. A man used to violence to get what he wants, used to screwing girls not falling for them and a man that is bound to protect his little brother from getting into the business and give him a good life.  Both of them scared and both of them settling for the life someone else has given them.

Don't get all excited yet, because this book ain't all about the girl and bad boy falling in love in an instant and having an earth shattering relationship... No, this book is real! Vincent and Stella is one of the first book couples that will take their time getting to actually like each other and only through routine and having to endure one another for two days a week is where they'll see that they're not that different. So you can see their fondness growing and actually feel like you are not reading a book but experiencing something real.
Still, hot guys could be muggers or rapists and I wasn’t going to let my guard down just because he had a pretty face.
(...)
She was something else, that Estella. She was something I wasn’t used to; something I’d never experienced before.
This book is really focused on the present and sometimes it lost the past and what happened before to get the characters to that point, which bummed me out a bit. And in the end i felt like things were rushed and it skipped some answers and scenes that we should have seen. But all together this is an amazing story which is told in both points of view of Vincent and Stella, which is a major bonus!!!!

I am impressed with Stella because this plain girl  managed to make a BIG statement in the book. She has been through hell and back yet she still supports her family and keeps them from falling apart... She still puts up with her drunk father and raises her little sister the best she can because her mother had left them. She has all of this weight on her shoulders and she's only seventeen and goes to highschool and even manages to do some volunteering and help. She's TOUGH. The only thing was that i wanted so know more about her mother and her father and even about Seth and her brother.
He would not break me. He could not break me. I was beyond broken—I was dead.
Vincent is a tough nut to crack! It will take most of the book and most of our patience but he will finally admit his feelings for Stella and admit that he wants to be a better person for her and his brother Dylan. It took time but it doesn't become boring or annoying because you can tell that he's battling an inner fight by admitting his feelings...  So beneath his tough gang member exterior is a guy that really cares about what's his, that protects and gives all he's got because he never got someone to give him love while he was a boy due to his mother being considered a whore... That's why you'll see this couple getting along so well, they are one and the same.
Tonight I needed to forget about a girl. I needed to forget about a girl who had the power to bring me to my knees and destroy me.
I am wishing a book for the rest of the Madden Brothers and see them fall in love! Just so they would stop being insensitive pricks! As for the rest of the gang they were the best... Especially Three and GOAT! They were a must to add some funny things and even a little trouble. It was Awesome and it also brought some danger to the book and some adrenaline with their rival gang. I loved it!
If there was one person who really gave a damn about you, then that was Goat. There was way more to him than just being in the Madden gang.
I say that we haven't seen the best of Komal Kant because in every book she surprises us with something unique and brand new. Wrong Side  Of Town is definitely bound to win some hearts.
