Losing it by Cora Carmack

October 17, 2012

3.3 stars.

So the book was good but not that good. I was expecting much more, i know that the author is new but still, the cover is pretty and all but the content is basically normal. Too normal.
Here's the description by Goodreads.

Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

The description is quite alluring. You think cute teacher, forbidden romance and disastrous luck. It involves that but in a very rushed way. I flew trough the book, in two hours i had it read.
Bliss is a very normal, dedicated person that never does anything out of the ordinary so when she meats professor ...(see, i even forgot his name already) Garrick you can see the turn her life is going to turn. And there is where the things start to go down. Everything was like speeding.after that. They say they can't get together but then they do, there's another guy in the middle and then he goes away, then they stay together again and get married. Point. The secondary characters should have been more explored, they could have much more alluring personalities in case the author choose to incorporate  them a bit more.

Don't misunderstand it, I LIKED IT. but i didn't loved it. It's a book that you read when you don't have anything else to read meanwhile.  I believe the author has talent but she has to explore it a bit more.
