Your echo is the second book in the Sherbrooke Stations series, and it presents the story of the band’s lead singer (Ace) and his meditation coach (Stéphanie). I have to start by complimenting the author’s immersive, yet simple writing that creates a story that comes alive as you read it.

Your Echo can be enjoyed and read as a standalone, but I’ll definitely be reading the previous book because the guys (Matt, Cole, and JP) in the band gained a very special place in my heart! All of them have amazing personalities and storylines that left me begging for more. Especially JP. I need his book ASAP!! They made the book funny as hell and showed how tight their bond was when times got hard.

“You’re an ugly ass motherfucker,” he tells him, “and I don’t know what this woman is doing with you.”
“At least I have a woman,” Ace retaliates. “Did you even bring a date?”
JP gestures around the room. “Why would I limit myself to just one?"

This is a story of redemption for Ace and Stéphanie as both carry demons of their past with them. Ace often drinks to cope with them and Stéphanie works her ass off in order to forget. They are very different characters, that come together to make a breathtaking couple that balances each other perfectly.

"She looked way too much like sunshine to not be capable of an eclipse."

Both start the book in a dark place but slowly their walls are broken down. They will gradually learn to trust and love again, not only each other but themselves. The author captured every single stage of their relationship perfectly, highlighting not only the good but the bad and making sure they came out stronger in the end. Besides, there was a ton of sexual tension between these two, from the very first moment!

“Good.” She straightens up a bit on her pillow. “Because there’s more to me than meets the eye.”I laugh. “What are you, a Transformer?”
She stares at me blankly.
“You know?” I prompt. “More than meets the eye? Robots in disguise? Please don’t make me sing the song for you.”

Your echo is a small book that will make you never want to put it down. The pace does slow down especially in the beginning, but gradually it becomes fast-paced and exciting. The characters are all so unique and funny and you can easily sense the friendship and love inside this book. I give this book 4 stars, as the story maintains the unique factor throughout the whole book and the love story is heartbreakingly beautiful.

I'm stuck - stuck in this body with two blood-hungry beasts who happen to be relatively clueless to what being human means. Luckily, I still have that part of me, too. I realized a while ago what happened to make me this way and now I'm on a mission to find a cure without killing myself in the process.

I also may have the opportunity to buy a castle in England complete with gargoyles. Am I going to? You bet I am! But while I was there, I gained a follower of sorts - a watcher. I don't know who it is or why, but my monsters inside are helping me to figure it out. The watcher even followed me home - I feel them.

At least I can get back to helping my patients and finding that cure to rid myself of this werepireism. How will I ditch the watcher before they out me for the monster I truly am?

Review:

Trapped by Amanda Byrd is a Paranormal Fantasy book. It tells the story of Miranda, who´s part werewolf, part vampire and human in her quest to find a way to get rid of the monsters inside of her, whilst defeating some bad guys along the way with the help of some awesome allies. What’s not to love about this?

Even before she became a werepire-human, she was a force to be reckoned with. Miranda had a way about her, verbal decimation she called it, because she could shut anyone up at any time.

This is a badass book for sure. The whole concept of this story is pretty cool and original. I’ve never read a book with a story like this or with characters that aside from being totally crazy still manage to win you over. It starts with a prologue that really grabs you in, but the first few chapters after that are a little slow. They do redeem themselves because after chapter six or seven the story starts to add up and I couldn’t put the book down after that.

In the book, you get all the elements of fantasy you could ever wish for such as gargoyles, vampire hunts, werewolves in quests for revenge and a crazy battle at the end. All of this written really beautifully and well explained. And you also get Dark elements, such as explicit killing scenes, hunts and blood drinking. All of this put together was awesome.

Miranda has a dominant personality that comes across as rude all the time, but if I had two monsters inside of me, I’d be rude too. Not only is she tough and crazy AF, but her boyfriend Terry and best-friend Shiloh are too. All of them are characters that were really well written and though out. Always unpredictable and always interesting, whilst managing to complement one another in the story. I loved them, even though they weren’t exactly good guys.

Teddy shook his head and laughed. He was not evil in the same sense Miranda was, though he was just as twisted.

Overall, I’m left pleasantly surprised after reading this book. It’s original, cunning and different. The ending also left an opening for another book where the “cure” might actual exist. So, I’ll be counting the days until it comes out. If you’re looking for a small and good Dark fantasy book, then give this one a try. You won’t regret it.

Review:

Three trials is the second book in The Dark Side series. I fell in love with Four Psychos and I loved this one just as much. This book gives us almost every answer we had on the previous book and leaves us with a cliffhanger ending that left me begging for more! It does all of that with wonderful humor, sarcastic remarks, awesome fantasy and four boys that will steal your heart.

They’re likely trying to detect a lie or spot the manipulative web the evil vagina is weaving.

In Three Trials, we have Keyla “Paca” and her men, that are not that into her - or at least they don’t want to admit they are - crawling into hell for their trials. There, she must find a way to defeat the devil’s game that was made specifically to kill them as slowly as can be. She’ll soon find her powers growing and her love for her men getting stronger, as answers slowly appear, and they give in just a little and accept her into their life.

Answers is all I needed from the first book, and they were all answered. At least the major ones. We finally know the background of Paca and Kai, Gage, Jude and Ezekiel and why she’s connected to them. All these answers are mostly given in the end, but until then the story was amazing. They had to withstand the trials, which was badass, and they had to save each other countless times from certain death.

“Says the guy who is centuries old. You could be my great grandparents’ great grandparent.” I grin as I add, “Burn.” More groans. Damn it, I thought that one was awesome. “It’s a good thing we don’t need your help insulting people,” Ezekiel says, patting my shoulder a little patronizingly.

The romance was another aspect that I complained in the first book. It just wasn’t enough for me. In here, the romance got much hotter with the female lead interacting with each of her men individually and all together as well. We get much more kissing too! It’s overall steamier, in the romance department! Me likey!

Really liked where this book took us, cannot wait for the next one!!

Review:

Where was this book my whole life? Forget Me Not is a rare gem that I absolutely loved. It’s an incredibly complex story that approaches very dark themes, alongside incredibly well-built characters that take hold of your heart and don’t let go. It’s intense and beautiful and I don’t have enough good things to say about it.

"She’s mine to protect. Mine to keep safe."

Willow Winter is the queen of dark romance. She has a way of telling her stories in an original and captivating way that stands out from everyone else. Her books have so much raw emotion, that you can’t help but put yourself in the characters shoes.

Forget Me Not took this to a whole other level. The story is original as hell and super mysterious. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, from chapter one to chapter thirty-one. It absolutely captivated me, as it was incredibly well-crafted to hide a massive secret in the end that blew my mind!

The characters are brilliant. ALL. OF THEM. Robin, Jay and John were dark, mysterious with complex personalities that shined through. The background they share is heartbreaking and left them broken, so this story is their path to redeem themselves and heal. In fact, the whole book is the interaction between these three, whilst they’re trying to remember the past and heal the open wounds they have from it. That whole journey is emotional and sad, but much needed. All I can say is that I cared for them deeply, but I also feared, loved and respected the hell out of them.

“Jay, you need help,” she whimpers.

“Ah,” Jay says. “And so do you, my little bird.”

I don’t need a lot of words to say how much I enjoyed this book, because I simply don’t have them. The book speaks for itself. I encourage everyone to read this If you like meaningful romances with a dark twist, or broken characters that will leave you breathless, you’ll love this. Willow Winters did an amazing job.
